Introduction to the Bryant House Breakfast Bunch or better known as BHBB!


Yesterday I saw Julie & Julia and it truly inspired me to get in the kitchen and try some new recipes. I am not sure if it because I really haven’t been to the movies in forever or that it was just a great movie, but it sure did spark a fire under me.

Since I am a mom and have a wonderful husband and a part time job, and I am a Real Estate Broker (mainly just helping out my busy Real Estate Broker, GRI, Green Realtor Mom -Shirley Starkey) and oh yeah also own a busy B&B- I am in the kitchen a lot. As you can imagine, I don’t have a ton of time to make masterpieces. However, that is no reason not to make beautiful breakfast creations that melt in people’s mouth and create a breakfast to remember!
I have a mission:

I need the fine people of Moore County to share in one or both opportunities:

1) Share your favorite breakfast recipe(s) with me.

2) Join us on Tuesday mornings to “test and critique” the breakfast recipes. Don’t worry, we won’t share the contributor’s name – unless you agree. Remember we are soliciting feedback which could be positive or not so positive. It will also surface ideas to vary your favorites so lots of great input!

I will prepare a new recipe each Tuesday morning and serve the recipe to all BHBB attendees. Breakfast will be served in traditional B&B style (meaning served with silver, fine china with all the frills). We critique the recipe and if we find it is easy to cook and loved by all, we would love to add it to our repertoire with compliments straight to you! Each week I will add it to my blog along with possible variations of the recipe and feedback.

This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy delicious food, critiquing food, and like to just get together and meet with others in a non-club, non selling, and non professional atmosphere. We are just about simply enjoying food and great company. Like the folks on Sandhillsnc.com say, “Livin, Lovin and Laughin in the Pines and the beautiful Sandhills of NC,” which I think is so true!

Remember - Breakfast Brunch will be served at 10:00 each Tuesday morning and will go until 11:00am. You do not have to commit to a series of breakfasts (although you certainly can), each week will have limited seating available and reservations will be required.

The 3rd Tuesday of each month we will try a recipe for special dietary restrictions such as vegan, sugar or gluten free.

The cost is $10 per person to cover the food costs and includes:

Coffee or Tea, juice, water, fresh fruit, bread of some type, and of course the main entrée! You will not leave here hungry!
